Happiness is a Warm Puppy.

This is my little doggie, Django. We play chase together, we play tug of war, and we snuggle. I love to hug onto him and have him kiss my face. Sometimes I follow him around until he looks pretty tired, but I still know that he loves me even if I am making him ready to take a long nap after we stop chasing one another.

My Mama said that little doggies like Mr. Django really are our best friends. She told me that a wise, wise man named Charles Schultz wrote that, “happiness is a warm puppy.” I know from experience, they sure are. Love you, little buddy of mine.

    Good Day to You Dorian,

    If only everyone could start life by knowing the special bond we have with our first pet. So many good things to learn that become part of who we are.

    Gentleness – Squeezing too tight hurts both of us.
    Patience – Getting it right doesn’t have to happen on the first try.
    Respect – A happy Django learns better and we do too.

    Many of the ways we learn to bond with our pets at an early age, helps us be happier people all our lives. Good pet bonding works with people too!

    Dorian is very lucky to have parents who are smart and know the value of growing up with pets. I once had a beagle too. Her name was Sadie. She looked a lot like yours!

    My first dog was named Peter. He was already grown when I was born. He was my best friend the first few years of my life. He always will be.

    Enjoy growing and learning with your special friend.

    There’s nothing like it!

      Dorian’s Mama here. Dorian’s daily play buddy and friend is Django. I could take a pic every day of them snuggling. She is learning play and patience, and she is learning a deep love for animals. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Your pets sound wonderful, and I bet that yours helped to shape you as a person who has a deep love for animals. I had my puppy, Cindy, as a child, and it helped to form me as a person who has a deep love for animals and a respect for them. Django is a well loved pup that is happy with snuggles every single day. We all depend on him, and he is one of the most loved dogs in the world I believe. Thank you for taking the time to write, and I am so happy that you found our blog. 🙂
