I Wanna Rock! I. Want. To. Rock.

photo 3

My big sister Addie has been playing the drums for a long time now (Mama says 3 months and that is not long at all), and Mama and Daddy got her a kid sized full drum set to play and learn and a music stand for her “sheet” music (which Daddy had to tell me that is not like the sheets on my little bed). She loves it, and one of the things that she likes most so far is getting to play with me. We have two sets of drumsticks in the house, and I get to take them and bang on the drums and make the loud sounds, too (although sometimes I take the drumsticks and hide them under the couch so no one can find them but me). Addie and I can play together on the drums making all kinds of music, and I can even sing along with my beautiful singing voice.

Right now Addie and me can both be rock stars in our own house, just like the ones that I see on the music videos that Mama and Daddy show me all of the time. Mama says that maybe one day when I’m bigger I can get lessons too, and we can be sister rockers that play together or that I could even pick a different instrument (Daddy says there are a lot of them to choose from) and play with her and my big, big sister Lilli, who is learning to play violin. Until then, I just want to rock. I want to rock and rock and rock some more. Bam, Mama, hear me roar.
