Food is Love.

Hello black bean burrito. You were made just for me. I love you. You are food, and you cannot show love, but I love you all the same.

You are meant to be mine, and you will all be in my belly soon.

I am your best friend. I am your worst enemy. I am your destroyer. Others may say that a fork is not for burritos, but forks are for everything, so they are all wrong. Giant burrito, you may fall apart, but just like with the things that don’t go the way we want in life (like when my little dog pull toy lost his leg), I will pick up the pieces, and you will all come together in my little belly. It’s warm in my belly, burrito, and you can take a little food nap after we are done here. Until next time, my little friend.

My name is Dorian Annabel. At 5-years-old, I have my hands in everything that I can. I want to see, hear, and smell it all.     Wow I love her expression, such concentration!
    At about the same age my eldest would only eat ham and apple slices for about a month. My littlun didn’t eat a whole meal until she was about 12. She just constantly grazed instead. So I am seriously impressed with how well that burrito is being demolished 🙂

      Dorian is a unique little soul. She eats more “adult” food and won’t touch many kid favorites. Her favorite foods right now are mushrooms, grilled onions, and black beans… And she will eat everything that we have for our meals (and honestly, we have some that I think there is no way she will touch and she kills her plate). I am impressed too– my older daughter would also always only eat Mac and cheese and veggie chicken nuggets (only one kind) for about a year. Normal kid eating is repetition I think, and Dorian needs new things constantly in everything she does. 🙂
