Mama and Daddy are “Bringing It,” and I Can, Too.

Mama and Daddy started P90X3 a long time ago (Mama told me that this is only the third week, but that is a really long time to me). Mama said that they are doing P90X because since she had me she has stayed pretty still working and writing on the computer all of the time, and she said that the only running that she has done is running after me. I think that might be enough because I am everywhere these days, but Mama said that it doesn’t really count and that they both need to make their muscles stronger again and that getting their heart rates up is good for them. I understand that, because when I am moving around and excited, I know that my heart is happy, too.

When Mama and Daddy exercise, they put me in my little play pen to make sure that I am safe with the toys that I love or put me in my little eating chair in the living room to watch. I can see them either way, and I love to watch them because they are down and up and down and up and down and up the entire time. They seem really tired after a while, and they drink a lot of water the whole time, but they keep going until the stretching part at the end.

They seem happier now every day, and Mama says that is because moving around and getting stronger is good for your body and your mind. She told me that eating really good fruits and vegetables and grains makes your body strong, but that without movement, your body gets older faster. I don’t understand that because I want to get older faster so that my legs are strong enough to run, but Daddy told me that past a certain point you want to slow that down as much as you can so that you can keep moving and doing what you want to do no matter how hard it is. Daddy told me that anything worth doing is hard. P90X seems really hard to me, so it must be worth doing.

The man who tells them what to do, Tony Horton, is funny and they laugh sometimes even when they are out of breath and tired. Daddy said that is why they love it so much—because Tony Horton makes exercising fun. He told me that they did the first P90X twice before I came into the world, and that they both got stronger than ever and healthier than ever then because they listened to what he told them to do and they kept pushing it more and more and more. He said that you can always get better no matter how strong that you are. Mama said that they are doing it again because he will help to make them stronger and stronger again.

Daddy told me that he and Mama want to teach me to be as strong as I can be when I am little and when I am bigger too. He said he wants for us to be good examples for me so that I can stay happy and healthy my entire life. Mama said that Tony Horton tells everyone to “Bring It” and that this means to come with your entire mind and to push as hard as you can so that you can be the very best that you can be. I heard him say that “aging is for idiots.” I didn’t understand this because everyone ages, but Mama said that you don’t have to stop being able to do things for a long, long time if you work hard enough at it. She told me that Tony Horton is older than them but that he is really, really strong because of how hard he works every day.

I am proud of my Mama and Daddy, and when I watch them I squeal and yell with delight to see them moving so much. Mama calls me her motivator, and she told me that I help her to push herself as hard as she can. I know that they are stronger already, but Daddy says I haven’t seen anything yet. Bring it, Mama and Daddy, bring it and bring it and bring it.

About doriandean

My name is Dorian Annabel. At 5-years-old, I have my hands in everything that I can. I want to see, hear, and smell it all. I don't completely understand the Internet and blogging yet, but Mama says it's another way to see and touch the world, so I'm in. Since I'm still a little baby, my Mama and Daddy, Amy and Spenser Dean, are helping me to create this blog. My fingers just don't work quite fast enough yet.

Thank you!! We love them. We did the first P90X twice and Insanity once years ago, and we are pretty much dedicated BeachBody fans. The blog is a bit of everything that Dorian’s life is like, but we will be posting the results as we go along too. 🙂 Thank you for reading and I look forward to seeing your blog as well. Take care!

LOL– you go girl.. that’s a hard workout! I’m still afraid of it. Thanks for the follow. As a renewed baby freak myself (it can come back I have come to find, even if you thought your teenage sons completely eradicated the I want more kids gene, lmao), I will really enjoy the perspective and motivation you obviously radiate.. I think our beloved are about the same age too. Thanks again.

Oh it is! I get my butt kicked daily!!

I have an 11-year-old, a 9-year-old, and a 6-year-old too, and the preteen stage even can be tough. I love the joy and happiness of small ones– they really do live in a way that we all should strive for as much as we can. How old is your little one?

Glad that you are following me too, and thank you. I am looking forward to reading more of your blog. 🙂
